Ranji
Second floor front, with free-standing bath in room
Named for C B Fry's great friend, the romantic Indian prince Sir K.S. Ranjitsinhji, known universally as "Ranji". An elegant batsman for both Sussex and England, Ranji more or less invented the leg glance and India's domestic one-day cricket tournament is named after him.
A lovely, romantic, room at the front of the house, which looks north-west. Our most requested room so far, with flamingo-strewn wallpaper, panelling behind the bed, slightly rococo furniture and double-ended bath in the room. There is a separate shower room for traditionalists, complete with walk-in shower and views toward Claife Heights.
