"WHAT a wonderful week we've had celebrating Kim's 60th (just one year late)! The house was perfect for bringing lots of families of different ages together - all the way from 9 months to 78 years!

We spent most of our indoor time gathered around the kitchen table playing board games, plus a 70s-themed night and a murder mystery! Our days out were spent on the lake, wandering around Bowness with ice cream, buying Grasmere gingerbread, and ambling around Ambleside. Can highly recommend Cafe Mathilde next to the art studio in Grasmere.

"OUR second visit to the house - had a fab time with all the family. Used all the house, however the kitchen was the busiest!!

Ideal location for Bowness and Windermere while great if you want to go a little further afield.

We had a fantastic meal at the Lamplighter in Windermere on New Year's Eve. We also ventured to the Crafty Baa. In Bowness we visited the Fizzy Tarte [amazing cocktails], Magic Roundabout, Flying Pig and Urban. Give them a try if you get the chance. Thanks and we hope all others enjoy their stay as much as we have."

"AS a family we have rented numerous houses with multiple bedrooms in defferent parts of the country for our holidays. The Boundary has topped them all in quality and appeal. The house has a lovely feel and gernerously sized rooms and aesthetically-pleasing decor. We lived mostly in the splendid kitchen with gorgeous table, great chairs and an impressive range of equipment. The use of slate in the kitchen and elsewhere was much admired, and every bedroom having its own bathroom is exceptionally convenient. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding first-class. The garden area was just right for 13 people to have lunch outside"

"WE arrived in rain, to spend the rest of the week in sunshine! The house was very comfortable and inviting - and so large we had to ring to find each other! The bedrooms were true to the photographs with amazing white fluffy towels, hot, roomy showers and enormous baths enjoyed by all. Thanks for the welcome basket, very unexpected. Would love to return again!

The Gardiner, Howells and Hartleys [May 2018]

"WE were a family of 11 and 2 small dogs! 10 adults and a 7-month-old baby girl. I initially rang Steve (the owner) to enquire about the property. My family have been coming to The Lakes for past 12 years and each year our party is growing in numbers. The Boundary is a big house so you can come together or have your own space. We loved the kitchen as we all had breakfast and in the evening we played board games with lots of Prosecco! We look forward to our return visit."
